Visitting NAMI in Hong Kong
We visited Nano and Advanced Materials Institute Ltd(NAMI) in Hong Kong and installed the additional parts for the electrospinning machine NW-101. This update the NW-101 will be able to make a better quality nanofiber samples. They research and develop flexible battery and filters. We expect that MECC’s nanofiber devices will play an important role in their work from now on. Thank you very much! (Who is Doctor?) Ueno(MECC), Mr.Eric(NAMI), Ms.Yvonne(NAMI), Oho(MECC)
Joining The International Conference on Nanomaterials and Advanced Composites in Taiwan
photo: NTUST(https://www.ntust.edu.tw/home.php?Lang=En) We joined The International Conference on Nanomaterials and Advanced Composites in Taipei, Taiwan from August 9-11, 2019. It was a very nice event and we made a presentation about electrospinning and our technology and products there. Thank you very much!

Shutdown of Operations; Aug 11 – 15
Our office will be closed on August 11 to 15 for summer break. Please send e-mail to askmecc@mecc.co.jp in the period. We will try to get back with you a.s.a.p. MECC
Joining “NANO KOREA 2019”
This week we joined The Nano Korea 2019 Symposium, held at KINTEX, Korea. We have gotten very much encouragement from up-to-date nanofiber research trend.
Shutdown of Operations; Apr 27 – May 6
We will close our office and factory in the period from April 27 – May 6 due to Japanese National Holidays especially for imperial throne. Please send e-mail to askmecc@mecc.co.jp in the period. We will try to get back with you a.s.a.p. MECC
Visitting Visionary BioMed in Taipei
(Photo:Professor Tseng How) We visited Visionary BioMed in Taipei, Taiwan and installed our electrospinning machine NF-103 and demonstrated making nanofiber sheets. They research and develop the latest regenerative medicine such as regenerative of cornea. We expect that MECC’s nanofiber devices will play an important role in their work from now on. Thank you very much! (Photo : Professor Tseng and his colleagues)
Spinning acetyl cellulose
We electrospun acetyl cellulose (cellulose acetate) into nanofiber sheets. The acetyl cellulose is used for a variety of applications such as photo films, paints, LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) films, separation membranes (filters). In addition, it attracts attentions as materials for water treatment from its hydrophilicity and bidegradablility. By spinning acetyl cellulose into nanofibers it is expected to be used for much more applications.
Uploading a new video of Coaxial Spinneret
We uploaded a new video of Coaxial Spinneret on Youtube. 芯鞘式喷头的介绍视频发布到YouTube上了。 The video explain how to use and install of Coaxial Spinneret. Additionally it introduce typical applications of nanofibers used by Coaxial Spinneret. Please check it out! 有关芯鞘式喷头的介绍,使用方法以及应用例等全部归纳了一下。 欢迎大家随时观看!
Electrospinning of Polyimide
We spun polyimide (PI) into nanofibers with the electrospinning method. PI has features of high heat resistance and electric insulation and is used for materials of filters, protection membranes and insulation sheets of electric circuits. Nanofibers made of PI will be utilized for applications such as heat-insulation materials and extremely thin insulation sheets.
The NF-103 was introduced on Japanese TV program.
【The electrospinning system NF-103 was introduced on Japanese TV program】 The model NF-103 was introduced on the Japanese TV program “World Business Satellite” for development of artifical skin development by Kao Corporation. https://www.tv-tokyo.co.jp/mv/wbs/ni/post_170152/ (From the website of TV TOKYO) The NF-103 is used for development of artifical skin for beauty care by them. “Dream artifical skin” will be realized this year in Japan. We’re looking forward to it! We will keep on making efforts to develop nanofiber electrospinning system.
